What we do

The AIR-P/ATN’s researchers and clinicians are working toward the development of clinical and practice guidelines and algorithms for identifying and treating medical problems that often affect individuals with autism. The aim is to gather evidence and reach consensus about recommended practices for diagnostics, screenings, and treatments for autism and associated conditions.

Previously developed guidelines on ADHD, constipation, and insomnia were published in the 2012 Pediatrics Supplement and guidelines on treatment of anxiety and irritability were published in the 2016 Pediatrics Supplement.
